We got tired of cleaning €300 glasses with a pocket cloth.
Lensio started with a simple frustration: the way we all clean our glasses is wrong. So we borrowed the optician's method and made it work at home.
The problem we couldn’t unsee
You spend €200, €300, sometimes more on a pair of glasses. Then you clean them with whatever’s nearby — a shirt, a tissue, a cloth that’s been at the bottom of your bag for weeks. We did it too, every single day, without thinking twice.
Then we looked closer. That cloth doesn’t remove dirt — it drags it across the lens. Every dust particle stuck in the fabric is harder than your anti-reflective coating, so each wipe leaves micro-scratches you can’t see yet. And the frame? Studies found the average pair carries more bacteria than a doorknob, hiding in the hinges and nose pads a cloth never reaches.

The optician already had the answer
Walk into any optician and ask them to clean your glasses. They don’t reach for a cloth — they drop them into a small tank of water that hums for a few minutes. Ultrasonic cleaning. The lenses come out genuinely clean, not smeared, with nothing ever touching the surface.
The technology has existed for decades. It just stayed behind the counter. We couldn’t find a single version made for the bathroom shelf at home — premium enough to leave out, simple enough to use every morning. So we built one.
What we made
Lensio cleans deep into the frame and hinges using high-frequency vibrations — no scrubbing, no chemicals, just water and a tablet. It runs for three minutes and shuts off on its own. We tested it on AR, HEV and UV coatings to make sure it cleans without ever damaging the layers you paid for.

Is Lensio safe for my anti-reflective coating?
Yes, absolutely. Lensio’s ultrasonic technology and the coating-safe cleaning tablets are specifically tested on AR, HEV and UV coatings. The 42kHz vibrations clean without contact and damage no layer whatsoever.
How long does a cleaning cycle take?
One cycle takes exactly 3 minutes. You fill the device with water, add a cleaning tablet, place your glasses inside and press start. After 3 minutes your glasses are cleaner than ever before.
Can I clean sunglasses and reading glasses too?
Yes. Lensio works for all types of glasses — reading glasses, computer glasses, sunglasses, and even sports glasses. The device is large enough for most frame sizes. For extra-large sports glasses, please contact us.
How long do the cleaning tablets last?
With one cleaning per day, 3 tablets last 3 months — one tablet per week is enough for daily use. New tablets can be ordered separately on our site.
